Klaus Keysberg will become chief executive of Thyssenkrupp AG's (TKA.XE) materials services unit, the company said Tuesday.

Mr. Keysberg is currently chief finance officer of Thyssenkrupp Materials Services and his appointment is effective as of Jan. 1.

Ilse Henne will join the board of the business area as chief operating officer, the company added.

"With these two decisions the new board of the Materials Services business area is excellently positioned," Thyssenkrupp Chief Executive Guido Kerkhoff said.
