--Thyssenkrupp is likely to exit the DAX blue-chip index after splitting in two, Chief Executive Guido Kerkhoff tells Germany's Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper.

--Thyssenkrupp said last week that it plans to split into two separately listed companies.

--"Both companies can develop better independently," Mr. Kerkhoff tells the newspaper.

--Thyssenkrupp shares trade 2.1% lower at 0847 GMT.
