Walmart Expanding Unlimited Grocery Delivery to 1,400 Stores

Walmart Inc. (WMT) on Thursday said it has plans to expand its unlimited grocery-delivery service to 1,400 stores later this fall after a successful pilot program in four markets during the summer.

The Bentonville, Ark., retail giant's "Delivery Unlimited" program lets customers pay an annual fee of $98, or a monthly fee of $12.95, for unlimited delivery of grocery orders.

Walmart said it is expanding the unlimited program to all 200 U.S. metropolitan areas where it currently offers grocery delivery, adding that the program will be available in more than 1,600 stores and more than half of the country by the end of 2019 as its delivery service continues to expand.

The retailer said customers will still have the option to pay a roughly $10 per-delivery fee without a membership.
