Reynolds American Inc. (RAI) is raising prices on smokeless tobacco brands like Kodiak and Grizzly.

A spokesman said the company's smokeless tobacco business is raising prices to wholesalers by 10 cents a can for most of its brands. He declined to give current average prices for any of the brands. The price hike comes after a similar increase by Altria Group Inc.'s (MO) smokeless tobacco unit.
