OMNOVA Solutions Completes Labor Contract at Jeannette, Pennsylvania Plant FAIRLAWN, Ohio, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OMNOVA Solutions (NYSE:OMN) today announced that employees represented by United Steelworkers of America Local 22R at its Jeannette, Pennsylvania facility have ratified a new contract with the Company. The contract covers approximately 160 bargaining unit members, representing less than 8% of the Company's workforce. With the completion of a new agreement, OMNOVA Solutions has ended the lockout that was initiated on December 4, 2004. The new contract will expire on September 2, 2008, four years from the date of the expiration of the previous contract. "This new contract makes positive movement toward addressing cost and work system issues that are critical to the plant's competitiveness in a very challenging marketplace," said Kevin McMullen, OMNOVA Solutions' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "At the same time, it continues to provide an excellent wage and benefit package for our Jeannette hourly workforce."
