CopyMax Changes Name to OfficeMax Print and Document Services
OfficeMax Print and Document Services Facilities to Open in
OfficeMax Distribution Centers in 2005 ITASCA, Ill., Jan. 10
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OfficeMax(R) (NYSE:OMX), one of the
nation's largest office supply retailers, announced today it is
changing the name of its print-for-pay business from CopyMax to
OfficeMax Print and Document Services. "The new name better
reflects our full capabilities of copy and print services not only
for retail customers, but also for corporate customers requiring
management, production and distribution of documents across the
country," said Chris Milliken, president and CEO of OfficeMax. With
the merger of OfficeMax and Boise Office Solutions approximately
one year ago, CopyMax gained access to one of the best distribution
systems in the industry. This year OfficeMax will begin adding
OfficeMax Print and Document Services facilities within its
distribution centers across the country to better serve large
contract customers requiring complex document manufacturing and
fulfillment. The combination of print and document services in
retail and distribution centers has further positioned OfficeMax as
a frontrunner in new business solutions for customers. Contract
customers also will benefit from next-day, free delivery of both
office products and print orders in one shipment. "By expanding our
capabilities in our distribution centers, we will leverage our
technology infrastructure and distribution network to help
companies move large documents without the time and cost of
shipping," said Brian Norris, senior vice president of OfficeMax
Print and Document Services. Launching CopyMax in 1995, OfficeMax
became the leader among office supply product retailers in offering
printing and copying. Today, OfficeMax stores nationwide provide
these services with cutting edge technology, including a fleet of
more than 5,000 Xerox(R) digital printers and copiers. "OfficeMax
has positioned itself to become a leader in the digitally connected
document services industry," Milliken said. "Through our investment
over the last few years in people, services, equipment and
technology, we are now 100 percent digitally connected at our
nearly 1,000 stores, allowing customers to send files right from
their desktop to be picked up or shipped to a destination of their
choice." OfficeMax Print and Document Services facilities also will
open inside each of the 50 new retail stores that OfficeMax expects
to open in 2005. OfficeMax Print and Document Services facilities,
located inside OfficeMax stores nationwide, offer full-service
digital printing, self-serve copying, custom printing and a full
suite of binding and finishing services. With its 100% fully
digital network, customers can send files directly from a desktop
to the nearest OfficeMax location via the Web. About OfficeMax(R)
