OfficeMax to Open New Houston Stores Two New Superstores Expand OfficeMax's Presence in Texas ITASCA, Ill., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OfficeMax(R) (NYSE:OMX), one of the nation's largest office supply retailers, will celebrate the grand opening of two new superstores in Houston, TX, on Sunday, December 5. The 21,000-square-foot stores located at 6135 Westheimer Road and at Highway 290 and West 34th Street provide one-stop shopping for all office-related needs. Each store will employ approximately 30 full- and part-time associates. The first 100 customers in the stores on Sunday, December 5 and Monday, December 6 will receive free gift bags filled with OfficeMax items. In-store customers at both locations can register for a chance to win prizes such as a DVD/VCR player, TV/VCR combo, OfficeMax gift cards and a digital camera.
