Goodwill's 205 independent agencies and 1,900 retail stores to save
at OfficeMax's Print and Document Services ITASCA, Ill., Feb. 8
/PRNewswire/ -- OfficeMax(R) (NYSE:OMX), one of the nation's
largest office supply distributors, has expanded its multi-year
contract with Goodwill Industries International, one of the
nation's largest networks of independent, community-based
organizations that provides job training and career programs to
people with disabilities, welfare recipients and others seeking
work. The deal allows Goodwill's 205 independent agencies and more
than 1,900 retail stores to receive special pricing and services at
OfficeMax's Print and Document Services facilities, which are
located inside more than 900 OfficeMax stores nationwide. Goodwill
will benefit from OfficeMax Print and Document Services' broad
range of high-tech digital print and copy services as well as
binding, laminating and other finishing services. The deal also
allows Goodwill to manage and distribute documents using
OfficeMax's Document Express. This service will allow Goodwill's
more than 2,000 agencies and retail stores to order key documents
with the click of a mouse. Goodwill searched for a printing
services company that could help them distribute documents
nationwide, and have the latest product selection, delivery system
and experience to help its agencies and retail stores run smoothly.
"We are proud to continue providing Goodwill with an exceptional
level of service," said Michael Rowsey, OfficeMax president,
contract division. "Our growing relationship is a positive
reflection of the track record we've built by supplying quality
products and services, strong customer service, next-day delivery
and competitive pricing." OfficeMax began providing office products
and services to Goodwill agencies in April 2005. The new expanded
program adds OfficeMax's Print and Document Services to the list of
convenient services that OfficeMax provides Goodwill, including
OfficeMax's award-winning customer service and online ordering,
which saves Goodwill staff time and allows them to focus on their
key services. "Working with OfficeMax helps us save valuable time
and money," said Rick Nelson, manager of member purchasing for
Goodwill. "Having all our printing and copying services done with
OfficeMax boosts our efficiency and enhances our ability to provide
quality career services that help people find good jobs, earn a
paycheck and support their families." Goodwill Industries
International is a network of 205 independent, community-based
organizations that provide job training and career programs to
people with disabilities, welfare recipients and others seeking
work. With locations in the United States, Canada and 22 other
countries, Goodwill helps people find and keep good jobs, and
become independent, tax-paying members of their communities. About
