This brings the number of OfficeMax stores in the Chicago area to 47, more than any other office products retailer. The new store, at 201 West Madison Street near the corner of Madison and Wells, is hosting a two-week grand opening celebration to thank downtown customers who have made all three OfficeMax Express stores successful. The festivities include a rooftop lunch party on August 1, free "Express" breakfasts and lunches through August 5, free gift bags, and a total of $10,000 in sweepstakes giveaways. "This is the third OfficeMax Express store to open in the country, and all three are here in our hometown of Chicago." The public is invited to a free lunch party from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, August 1, on the rooftop, 10 stories above the OfficeMax Express store. The first come, first served lunch features catered food, live music from the Katherine Davis Blues Trio and radio remotes from Teri O'Brien of WLS-AM. Harold Mulet, along with Jerry Roper, president and CEO of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce will officially open the store with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Each business day through August 5, OfficeMax Express will hold a $1,000 sweepstakes giveaway, for a total of $10,000 during the two-week grand opening celebration. OfficeMax is also providing an "Express" breakfast for the first 50 people in the store between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. and an "Express" lunch for the first 50 people between noon and 2 p.m. each business day of the grand opening. Gift bags containing popular office products will also be handed out each of the 10 days, while supplies last. The 3,300-square-foot OfficeMax Express store stocks the 2,000 most often- requested products providing a one-stop shop for all office-related needs. The new store, as well as the two other Express stores located at 25 West Washington Street and 307 North Michigan Avenue, offers full-service print and document services and a unique concierge service providing fast, free delivery. Through partnerships with outlying OfficeMax stores, OfficeMax Express can deliver special orders of non-stock items within one day. The store will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and will be closed on Sunday.
