Haymon has been elected to serve on the company's board of directors. Mr. Haymon retired as chairman of Sappi Fine Paper North America at the end of 2002. Previously, he had held the president and chief executive officer position at Sappi Fine Paper North America since 1995. Prior to joining Sappi Fine Paper North America, Mr. Haymon was president and chief executive officer of Tenneco Inc.'s packaging group, where he served for 13 years. Mr. Haymon currently serves on the board of two public companies: Agfa-Gevaert (headquartered in Belgium) and Superior Essex.
