OfficeMax Opens Fourth Colorado Springs Store to Serve Growing
Local Business Community Four-day celebration includes $1,000
shopping sprees, how-to workshops for small business and consumers
ITASCA, Ill., May 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OfficeMax(R)
(NYSE:OMX), one of the nation's largest office supply retailers,
will respond to local business and consumer needs with the opening
of its fourth Colorado Springs superstore. In celebration, the new
store, located in the First & Main Town Center North shopping
center, will host a four-day grand opening celebration Thursday
through Sunday, June 2 - 5. The celebration will include an After
Hours business networking event, shopping spree giveaways and
how-to workshops for businesses and consumers. Opening-day
festivities on Thursday, June 2 include a chance to win the first
of four $1,000 shopping sprees. Other activities include how-to
business seminars, a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony with
local dignitaries at 3:30 p.m., and a catered OfficeMax After Hours
business leadership event from 4 - 7 p.m., which is open to the
public. The 20,000 square-foot OfficeMax store, located at 3826
Bloomington Street in the First & Main Town Center North
shopping center, provides a one-stop shop for all office-related
needs. The store will employ approximately 30 full- and part-time
associates. "The city of Colorado Springs is developing rapidly and
OfficeMax is stepping up the fill the growing need of local

service." The store is OfficeMax's 26th in Colorado, and is one of
40 new stores nationwide that the retailer plans to open in 2005.
OfficeMax's four-day grand opening celebration will continue
through Sunday, June 5. Each day, shoppers can enter a chance to
win a $1,000 OfficeMax shopping spree, and 100 customers will
receive free goody bags filled with office supplies. Free business
workshops and informational seminars will be offered through
Saturday. The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday
through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6
