OfficeMax Appoints Mayo Managing Director of Hawaii Operations
Expanded Position Covers Both HOPACO and OfficeMax operations in
Islands ITASCA, Ill., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- To better
serve the needs of Hawaii business and retail customers,
OfficeMax(R) (NYSE:OMX), one of the nation's largest distributors
of office supplies, has named Rudy Mayo as Managing Director for
its complete Hawaii operations, including the HOPACO
business-to-business operations and OfficeMax retail operations.
Mayo will oversee the Waipi'o distribution center, the four HOPACO
business office locations and four OfficeMax retail stores. As part
of this expanded role, Mayo will be responsible for OfficeMax's new
Retail Connect program, which allows HOPACO's commercial customers
to apply contract pricing at OfficeMax stores. "Rudy's experience
and dedication in managing our contract operations will be valuable
as we find new ways to serve all of our customers," said Chris
Milliken, president and CEO of OfficeMax. The HOPACO operation,
which predominantly serves business and government customers, will
retain its well-established and respected brand name. "The HOPACO

contract business customers." HOPACO's parent company, Boise
Cascade Corporation, purchased OfficeMax in December 2003 and
merged it with its Boise Office Solutions(R) division, which
