Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT) on Monday said it received an order worth more than $3 billion for 50 C-130J Super Hercules aircraft from the U.S. government under an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract awarded in August 2016.

The Bethesda, Md., security and aerospace company said the Defense Department has awarded more than $1.5 billion in funding for the first 21 C-130J aircraft from the order, which includes aircraft for the Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.

Lockheed said it will deliver the aircraft, which it will build at its Marietta, Ga., plant, between 2021 and 2025.
