JOHANNESBURG, June 13, 2014 /CNW/ - Gold Fields Limited (Gold
Fields) (JSE, NYSE, NASDAQ Dubai: GFI) is pleased to announce that
the Company yesterday won the award for best mineral reserve and
resource reporting held annually by the SA Investment Analysts
Society (IAS) and SAMREC (South African Code for Reporting of
Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves).
This is the 8th time that Gold Fields has won the award since it
was first presented by the IAS in 2001.
In accepting the award, Gold Fields CEO Nick Holland said the award recognised the
quality, transparent and comprehensive reporting of the Company's
mineral resources and reserves. Mineral resources and reserves were
amongst the most fundamental value drivers of any mining company
and gave investors and shareholders a strong indication of the
future growth of a company, he added.
