CVS Health said it named executive Vice President Alan Lotvin as president of CVS Caremark.

The company also said Derica Rice, executive vice president and president of CVS Caremark, will leave CVS Health. Mr. Rice will remain with the company through February to help ensure a seamless transition, it said.

Mr. Lotvin will also have oversight of CVS Specialty and CVS Kidney Care. Mr. Lotvin previously led CVS Health's transformation efforts.

CVS also said Jonathan Mayhew executive vice president of transformation, will be responsible for the transformation product portfolio.

Mr. Mayhew most recently served as senior vice president for the Aetna Markets organization.

The company named Alec Cunningham executive vice president and chief operating officer for the Aetna business.
