Secure, convenient Frost Mobile text messaging not only gives
Frost consumer or business customers even more control of their
finances than ever before; it also makes Frost the nation's first
bank to enable customers to pay their bills by mobile text
messaging (SMS).
From virtually anywhere and at any time, Frost Mobile users may
now enjoy access via text to all of their Frost deposit and loan
accounts — checking, savings, money market accounts, CDs, business
and personal loans. Using any text-enabled mobile phone,
Frost Mobile customers may now safely and securely check
balances, view account activity, transfer funds within Frost
accounts and even pay their bills.
"Our customers live highly mobile lifestyles, and Frost Mobile
text messaging offers them versatility and freedom to manage their
finances on their busy schedules," said Bobby Berman, Frost Executive Vice President of
e-commerce. "Our customers' interest in mobile banking
continues to grow. Since January, Frost Mobile usage is up 32
percent to more than 83,000 log-ins. Frost Mobile text messaging is
yet another tool helping Frost and our customers stay ahead of the
curve."
How The New Service Works
With the launch of text messaging, Frost now offers mobile
banking via both the mobile web and text messaging. Customers
enrolled in My Frost Online Banking may activate the text messaging
feature free of charge* and begin managing their finances through
text messaging on their mobile device. If they are not
already My Frost Online Banking users, customers will first need to
register online for My Frost.
Frost Mobile text messaging uses text commands sent to Frost
from a mobile device. By texting 37678 ("FROST") on their mobile
phone, customers will receive information about their accounts and
be able to complete specific transactions.
With Frost Mobile text messaging, customers can:
- receive deposit and loan account balances
- receive account activity and transaction detail
- transfer funds across Frost accounts
- pay bills
Frost Mobile Text Messaging is Safe
The new Frost Mobile text messaging service lives up to Frost's
commitment and standard of online security. Frost Mobile text
messaging does not send text messages containing any confidential
information such as customer names or account numbers (the service
uses account nicknames the customer creates during registration).
To access accounts through Frost Mobile text messaging, customers
will be required to activate the service through the secure My
Frost Online Banking platform prior to use.
* Mobile carriers may charge for text messages sent and
received, so customers should contact their mobile carrier for any
applicable charges .
