Cameron Forms Joint Venture With Curtiss-Wright to Supply Subsea Multiphase Pumping Systems

HOUSTON, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cameron (NYSE:CAM) has
formed a joint venture with Curtiss-Wright for the supply of subsea
multiphase pumping systems. The systems will include advanced
technology that has been developed and patented by Curtiss-Wright's
Flow Control segment, Electro- Mechanical Division (EMD). The joint
venture will operate as Cameron/Curtiss- Wright EMD LLC, and
combines the subsea production systems integration experience of
Cameron with the motor and pumping systems expertise of Curtiss-
Wright. Subsea multiphase pumping systems are an integral part of
Cameron's efforts to develop subsea processing solutions that would
allow customers to optimize production from offshore reservoirs in
the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Brazil and other parts of the
world. In addition to providing the energy needed to lift oil from
the reservoir to surface production facilities, such pumping
systems may also aid in accelerating oil production rates and
improving customers' return on investment. Cameron's current range
of systems solutions includes drilling and production systems,
processing systems, compression systems and flow measurement
systems. The addition of multiphase pumping to this suite of
capabilities will enable Cameron to provide fully integrated subsea
systems to meet the evolving needs of subsea processing and
