CBS Corp. (CBS) Tuesday said it reached a multi-year agreement with Nexstar Media Group Inc. (NXST) that renews CBS network affiliations for Nexstar stations in 15 markets that reach nearly 6 million households, or about 5% of the U.S. audience.

The New York media giant said the deal extends affiliation agreements related to 19 Nexstar stations that were set to expire this year.

Irving, Texas-based Nexstar, the largest independent operator of CBS affiliates, owns and/or operates affiliates in 39 markets covering 13% of the U.S. and serving more than 14 million households.

CBS in June announced a multi-year deal renewing station affiliation agreements with Tegna Inc. (TGNA) in 11 markets covering 10% percent of the U.S. audience and nearly 11 million households.
