Ball Declares Dividend; Shareholders Elect Board Members

BROOMFIELD, Colo., April 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ball
Corporation's (NYSE:BLL) board of directors today declared a cash
dividend of 10 cents per share, payable June 15, 2009, to
shareholders of record on June 1, 2009. Ball's shareholders
re-elected to the board Robert W. Alspaugh, R. David Hoover and Jan
Nicholson at the company's annual meeting of shareholders held
today. Alspaugh, Hoover and Nicholson were re-elected to serve
three-year terms expiring in 2012. Shareholders also voted to
ratify the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as independent
public accountants of Ball Corporation for 2009. Ball will announce
its first quarter results on Thursday, April 23, before the market
