COLUMBUS, Ga.,, Feb. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Aflac Incorporated
announced today that Susan R. Blanck
has been promoted to executive vice president, Aflac, while also
retaining her positions as corporate actuary of Aflac and first
senior vice president of Aflac Japan.
Blanck joined Aflac's Actuarial Department in 1993, was promoted
to second vice president and assistant actuary in 1998, and to vice
president in 2000. She assumed responsibility for developing
Aflac's business and financial plans in 2002, was promoted to
senior vice president and deputy corporate actuary in 2004, and to
corporate actuary in 2006. In 2008, she added the role of first
senior vice president of Aflac Japan to her responsibilities.
Blanck graduated from the University of
Missouri-Columbia. She is a Fellow of the Society of
Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
