--European Union antitrust regulators are poised to clear U.K.
telecoms giant Vodafone's $22 billion bid for Liberty Global's
cable networks in Germany and central Europe, Reuters reports,
citing unnamed sources.
--Vodafone last month said it signed a cable wholesale agreement
with rival Telefonica Deutschland, subject to the completion of the
Liberty deal, as part of a remedy package discussed with the
European Commission.
