-- Apple Inc. (AAPL) filed a friend-of-the-court brief with the
Supreme Court in a case involving the Deferred Action for Childhood
Arrivals, or DACA, immigration policy, CNBC reports Wednesday.
-- Chief Executive Tim Cook and Apple's head of human resources,
Deirdre O'Brien, said in the brief, "We are distressed at the
prospect of ripping our DACA colleagues from the fabric of our
company," according to the report.
-- In the amicus curiae brief, Mr. Cook said Apple employed 443
Dreamers, or those protected by DACA, CNBC said.
-- Mr. Cook also said Apple disagrees with President Donald
Trump, who decided to end the DACA policy, the report said.
-- The Supreme Court is slated to hear arguments in the case on
Nov. 12, CNBC said.
