In a separate announcement, AFOP has achieved full compliance with the European Parliament's Restriction of the use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. The RoHS directive bans the use of certain hazardous substances, including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) in electrical and electronic equipment sold into Europe. AFOP has maintained an initiative to remove these substances from its products for over a year and has been shipping RoHS compliant products to customers since the first quarter of this year.
