Eli Lilly & Co. (LLY) on Friday said it named Anat Hakim senior vice president and general counsel, effective Feb. 3.

The Indianapolis drug maker said Ms. Hakim succeeds Michael Harrington, who last year announced plans to retire.

Eli Lilly said Ms. Hakim most recently served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary at WellCare Health Plans Inc., which was acquired by Centene Corp. (CNC) in a deal that closed Thursday.
