--Osram Chief Executive Olaf Berlien said in an interview that he sees risks in the takeover of the lighting-technology company by sensor maker Ams, reports German newspaper Handelsblatt.

--Mr. Berlien said that his greatest concern was that two "very different corporate cultures" would hinder a successful integration of the businesses, according to Handelsblatt.

--Mr. Berlien also admitted that the new business after the takeover will have a high level of debt, which he hopes will fall quickly, Handelsblatt reports.
