Twenty-Six Del Webb Communities Nationwide Make
List of Top 55
Del Webb communities represent almost half of the 55 Best Active
Adult Communities of 2019 released recently by 55places.com, an
online resource that compares active adult communities in the
United States. Six of the 26 Del Webb communities on the list were
ranked in the top ten, with Sun City Texas and Sun City Hilton Head
taking the second and third spots, respectively.

The Del Webb communities on the list that are currently under
production include: Sun City Texas in Georgetown, Texas; Sun City
Hilton Head in Bluffton, and Del Webb Charleston at Nexton, in
South Carolina; Del Webb Ponte Vedra near Jacksonville, and Del
Webb Stone Creek in Ocala, Florida; Sun City Festival near Phoenix,
and Sun City Anthem at Merrill Ranch in Florence, Arizona; Sun City
Mesquite near Las Vegas, Nevada; and Sun City Peachtree in Griffin,
Georgia. These communities are still in production and open for new
home sales.
For the past few decades, Del Webb communities have been focused
on meeting the needs of baby boomers, but with the oldest Gen Xers
now turning 55, the market opportunity is not only expanding, but
evolving. To meet this evolving demand and further extend its
leadership position serving active-adult buyers, earlier this year
Del Webb announced plans for 10 new communities.

Webb communities are planned for all regions of the country, in
more urban and suburban locations, from New England, New Jersey and
