--Intel Corp. (INTC) has purchased Vertex.AI, a Seattle-based artificial-intelligence startup, according to reports from TechCrunch and the Oregonian.

--Vertex.AI's seven employees have joined Intel's Movidius unit, TechCrunch reported.
