USDA Says 132,000 Tons of Soybeans Sold to China in 17-18

WASHINGTON--Private exporters reported to the U.S. Department of
Agriculture export sales of 132,000 metric tons of soybeans for
delivery to China during the 2017/2018 marketing year.
The marketing year for soybeans began Sept. 1.
USDA issues both daily and weekly export sales to the public.
U.S. exporters are required to report to USDA any export sales
activity of 100,000 metric tons or more of one commodity made in
one day. Sales totaling 200,000 tons or more in any reporting
period, except soybean oil, made in one day to one destination,
must be reported by 3 p.m. ET on the next business day. Export
sales of less than these quantities must be reported to USDA on a
weekly basis.
