COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- American
Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) has been named a Best Place to Work
for Disability Inclusion for the second consecutive year.
The recognition was announced today by the US Business
Leadership Network and the American Association of People with
Disabilities, which conduct the Disability Equality Index (DEI), a

employment policies, programs and practices. AEP was one of 110
surveyed companies that together employ 7.2 million workers in 21

chief executive officer. "We are proud to foster a culture that
embraces all types of diversity, which makes us a stronger company
and allows us to better serve our customers."
The 2017 DEI survey evaluates cultural factors, leadership,
community engagement, support services and workplace policies that
promote accessibility.
