Corium International, Inc. (Nasdaq:CORI), a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development, manufacture and commercialization of specialty transdermal products, today announced that it has been added to the Russell 3000® Index as part of Russell Investments’ reconstitution of its comprehensive set of U.S. and global equity indexes.  Corium also will be included in the Russell 2000® Index, which excludes the largest 1,000 companies in the Russell 3000 Index.  These additions became effective after the close of the U.S. Nasdaq market on June 23, 2017.  Russell indexes are used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies.

“Corium’s addition to the Russell indexes is a reflection of the important progress we have made over the past year,” said Peter D. Staple, President and Chief Executive Officer of Corium.  “With the recent positive data in our lead Alzheimer’s program, we anticipate that being part of the Russell indexes will help expand the visibility of Corium as an investment opportunity for a wider range of investors.”

Annual reconstitution of Russell's U.S. indexes captures and ranks the 4,000 largest U.S. stocks by total market capitalization as of the end of May.
