First Republic Bank (NYSE: FRC), a leading private bank and wealth management company, today announced that Robert P. Gehlen and David J. Mucha, two UBS wealth managers, have joined First Republic Private Wealth Management in San Francisco.

Gehlen, who has 25 years of wealth management experience, and Mucha, who also has 20 years of wealth management experience, were named Managing Directors and Wealth Managers. They will work with clients to provide portfolio management, retirement planning and other wealth management services to individuals, families, nonprofits and foundations.

Gehlen was a Senior Vice President and wealth advisor at UBS, which he joined in 2006. Earlier in his career, he worked as a financial advisor at Smith Barney, Alex. Brown and Furman Selz. Gehlen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from the University of California Santa Barbara and is a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®).

Mucha was a Senior Vice President at UBS, which he joined in 2006. Earlier in his career he worked for Alex. Brown and Prudential Securities in 1997. Mucha earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Bentley University and is a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®).
