LEBANON, Tenn., Feb. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Cracker
Barrel Old Country Store® and Country Living magazine

"Since 1969, Cracker Barrel has been connecting families around
the dinner table, establishing a feeling of 'home' when walking
into a Cracker Barrel store," said Cracker Barrel Old Country Store
Chief People Officer Beverly
Carmichael. "We strive to create a warm, welcoming
environment that's a home-away-from-home for our guests where
they're cared for like family and enjoy real home-style food.
Because of this, we believe in the importance of strengthening
family bonds and supporting programs that strengthen the bonds of
military families."
Momma's Pancake Breakfast features three freshly made Buttermilk
Pancakes served with 100 percent Pure Natural Syrup served warm,
plus two eggs cooked to order and a choice of smoked sausage
patties, thick sliced bacon, turkey sausage or turkey bacon.
Country Living has partnered with Cracker Barrel on "Flip
It Forward Day" for the past two years and features the promotion
in the March issue of the magazine, encouraging guests to join
Cracker Barrel in supporting military families through Operation
Homefront.
"Country Living is all about celebrating a lifestyle that
embraces home, food and family – a lifestyle that wouldn't be
possible without the service of brave men and women in our
military," said Country Living Editor-in-Chief Rachel Hardage Barrett. "We are excited to work
alongside Cracker Barrel for the second annual 'Flip It Forward
Day' and hope this brings the community together on a larger scale
as we recognize the men, women and their families who have made
tremendous sacrifices for our country."
Since its foundation shortly after 9/11, Operation Homefront has
served military families with thousands of volunteers across the
country. The organization provides valuable programs addressing
short-term and long-term stability and support needs in which to
build strong, stable and secure military families and honor their
patriotism and service to the United
States. A key service provided by Operation Homefront is
recurring family support, in the form of Hearts of Valor caregiver
support program, Homefront Celebrations to recognize military
spouses, holiday programs to provide meals and toys, and many more.
Through these key services and programs, Operation Homefront can
help military families overcome many challenges inherent in
military life and service.
"Cracker Barrel has been and continues to be an amazing partner
as they share our deep appreciation for all our nation's military
families do to protect the freedoms we enjoy daily. Their fun and
innovative 'Flip It Forward Day' allows us to celebrate all the
good they do for all of us," said Operation Homefront president and
CEO Brig. Gen. (ret) John I. Pray
Jr. "We are proud to stand alongside Cracker Barrel
and Country Living, in thanking this very special and
deserving group of our fellow citizens."
Cracker Barrel is encouraging guests to share the upcoming "Flip
it Forward Day" through their social channels. A virtual
pancake GIF will allow users to share an invite to "Flip
it Forward Day" by "flipping" digital pancakes to their family and
friends. Cracker Barrel is also partnering with famous pancake
artist Nathan Shields to create
pancake art illustrating the work of Operation Homefront. Timelapse
videos will demonstrate how the designs are created, and still
images of the final products will be shared on Cracker Barrel's
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels.
Cracker Barrel has long supported military-focused programs,
including the USO, Fisher House, National Military Family
Association, Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, United Through
Reading and the National Museum of the United States Army, among
many others. On June 30, 2016,
Cracker Barrel committed to contributing $100,000 to Operation Homefront over the next
year, and The Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Foundation has since
pledged an additional $100,000
donation.
