LyondellBasell Says Power Loss Caused Emissions at Houston Refinery

LyondellBasell Industries NV (LYB) said a temporary power outage
at its Houston refinery over the weekend caused emissions Sunday
and Monday.
"As a result of loss of electricity from out third party
supplier, the refinery experienced a temporary interruption in
electrical power," the refinery said in a statement to the Texas
Commission on Environmental Quality. "Refinery immediately
implemented emergency loss of power procedures."
It said the emissions began Sunday morning and ended Monday
morning.
The 2640,000-barrel-a-day refinery is located along the Houston
Ship Channel.
