JERSEY CITY, N.J., Nov. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- BNY Mellon's Pershing LLC is pleased to announce that Lisa Dolly, chief executive officer and Lori Hardwick, chief operating officer, have been named to InvestmentNews' 2016 Women to Watch list. The selections recognize each executive's success and leadership, willingness to share their expertise with other women, ability to affect change within the financial advisory industry, and commitment to giving back to their communities.

"I'm honored to be named to this list of inspiring women leaders helping to shape the future of the financial advisory industry," said Dolly. "At Pershing, we believe the diversity of our people makes us more insightful leaders and helps us be a transformative force within the industry. This award demonstrates Pershing's commitment to provide women with opportunities to become leaders and drive the success of our clients."

"I'm humbled to be recognized alongside a truly accomplished group of women that are at the forefront of our industry," said Hardwick. "Pershing is personally invested in our employees' and communities' success and it is gratifying to be recognized for our efforts in helping to make a difference in the places where we live and work."

Women to Watch honorees were selected by an eight-member nominating committee from a pool of nearly 300 nominees. They will be recognized at an awards luncheon on March 8, 2017 in New York.

Dolly is a member of Pershing's executive committee and BNY Mellon's operating committee. Over her 25-year career at Pershing, she held numerous leadership roles prior to becoming CEO in February 2016. She was responsible for the firm's managed investment business and Lockwood Advisors, Inc., managed global operations, and served as chief operating officer overseeing numerous internal and operational functions.

Dolly has served as chairperson of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Operations and Technology Steering Committee and has served on cross-industry committees with DTCC. In addition, she volunteers her time with the 30% Club mentoring aspiring professional women.

Hardwick was named COO of BNY Mellon's Pershing in February 2016. Hardwick is a member of The University of Chicago Women's Business Group, is on the founding board of Women of Wealth, and is the co-chair of a new Money Management Institute initiative aimed at attracting applicants and promoting career development for women in the advisory solutions industry.  She was also recently appointed to serve as a Fellow to the Foreign Policy Association in New York.
