PLANO, Texas, Nov. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Thanksgiving
will come early for Pizza Hut communities located throughout
West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky as part of "A Day of Giving" on
Tuesday, November 22. Pizza Hut
locations across the states will be making special deliveries to
local EMT, police and fire departments, hospitals, shelters and
community centers.
In total, 1,750 pizzas will be delivered to the organizations
that serve the area as a thank you.
"A Day of Giving" is the brainchild of Tabbassum Mumtaz, founder of Ampex Brands who
recently purchased 35 Pizza Hut restaurants from Pizza Hut LLC in
West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky. Twenty-five of these locations are
in West Virginia, four are in
Ohio and six are in Kentucky.
Mumtaz sees the event as a way to give back to the community and
show just how important the neighbors of the local restaurants are.
Over the past six years, "A Day of Giving" has fed over 300,000
families.
"We are so honored to be a part of this community and we wanted
to take an opportunity during the season of giving to give
something back to our neighbors," Mumtaz said. "We recognize that
it's a difficult time for many, and we hope 'A Day of Giving' will
be an example that inspires other local businesses to lend a
hand."
"We are so proud of being part and giving back to each community
where we do business," said Hector
Gomez, VP of Operations at Pizza Hut.
