ATLANTA, Sept. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the
success of the codeshare agreement launched in March 2016, Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) and joint
venture partner Air France-KLM will enhance their existing
co-operation with India's
Jet Airways. The expanded agreement adds new convenient
travel options for customers flying from North America via Paris-Charles de Gaulle to India, complementing the current service
offered through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
Effective Oct. 30, and subject to
government approvals, Delta customers flying from the United States and Europe will be able to connect onto Jet
Airways' flights to Mumbai from
Paris; and to New Delhi and Mumbai from Amsterdam. From here customers can then fly to
20 destinations within India.

Highlights of the expanded agreement are:
More destinations within India
Subject to government approvals, Delta's customers connecting
through Paris and Amsterdam to Mumbai and New
Delhi will have codeshare access to 20 onward destinations
in India served by Jet
Airways. After government approvals, new Delta codeshare
destinations will include Calicut, Coimbatore, Goa, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mangalore, Pune, Trivandrum and Vadodara.
Existing Delta destinations available through the Jet Airways
codeshare are: Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and New
Delhi.
Air France-KLM customers departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol
currently have access to 10 codeshare destinations across
India such as, Ahmedabad,
Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai,
Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
New connectivity through Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport
With the expanded codeshare, Delta customers will be able
to connect onto Jet Airways' flights to Mumbai over Paris as well as onward to several
destinations within India.
In turn, Jet Airways will codeshare on Delta's complete offering
from and to 13 destinations in North
America via Paris-Charles
de Gaulle namely Atlanta,
Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, Minneapolis, Newark,
New York, Pittsburgh,
Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham,
Salt Lake City and
Seattle.
Jet Airways will also, subject to government approvals,
codeshare on Air France's flights to 12 destinations in
North America, including:
Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Houston, Los
Angeles, Miami,
New York, San Francisco, Washington in the U.S.; Vancouver and Montreal, Canada; and Mexico City, Mexico.
Once complete, Jet Airways will codeshare to 21 North American
gateways operated by Air France and Delta. Jet Airways will
also continue to codeshare on Air France operated flights to 28
European destinations beyond Paris.
Expanded codeshare agreement through Amsterdam Airport
Schiphol
Through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Jet Airways will codeshare
to nine additional points between North
America to Amsterdam
operated by Delta and KLM, bringing the total to 19 points.
The additional destinations include: Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Miami, Minneapolis, Portland, Salt Lake
City, Seattle, and
Mexico City, Mexico.
Subject to government approvals, Jet Airways will also codeshare
to 10 cities within the U.S. operated from and to Delta's U.S. hubs
to the following destinations – Austin, Charlotte, Columbus, Denver, Las
Vegas, Orlando,
Phoenix, San Diego, St.
Louis and Tampa. Jet Airways will also continue to
codeshare on KLM-operated flights to 30 European destinations
beyond Amsterdam.
Full Frequent Flyer Mileage Reciprocity
Air France-KLM Flying Blue members are already eligible to earn
and redeem miles on all routes operated by Jet Airways and vice
versa. Soon, Delta SkyMiles and Jet Airways' Jet Privilege
members will also enjoy network-wide, reciprocal mileage earning
and redemption privileges.
