Brazil's Vale Plans Overseas Bond Issue Due in 2021

SAO PAULO--Brazilian mining giant Vale SA (VALE, VALE3.BR,
VALE5.BR) said Tuesday that it is planning an overseas bond issue
due in 2021.
The company, which didn't disclose the amount to be raised from
the operation, said that it would use the proceeds for general
purposes, "including repayment of indebtedness."
Banco Bradesco BBI, BB Securities Ltd., HSBC Securities, Merrill
Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc., and Santander Investment
Securities Inc. are coordinating the operation.
