Jacobs to lead local efforts aimed at improving
the customer experience, enhancing the LTE Plus network, and
increasing sales
Annette Jacobs joins Sprint (NYSE: S) as president of the
Pacific Northwest Region. Based in Seattle, she is responsible for
sales strategy, network oversight, customer service, marketing
communications and general operations supporting the full portfolio
of Sprint products and services from enterprise to consumer in
Washington State and Oregon.

Jacob’s appointment follows Sprint’s announcement that it will
restructure the company into four geographic areas – West, Central,
Northeast and South – with targeted resources devoted to 19 top
markets, including Seattle/Tacoma. Under Jacobs’ leadership, the
company will develop market-specific offerings serving the unique
local needs of consumer and business customers in the
Northwest.

The West geographic area covers Alaska, Arizona, California,
Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah,
Washington, West Texas and Wyoming. It encompasses nearly 700
retail stores and employs approximately 7,300 people spanning
sales, customer care, operations, network, finance, legal, IT and
marketing.

Jacobs joins Sprint from Newport Board Group where she was
managing director Northwest. Previously, she was the president of
the West Area at Cricket, a wireless service provider acquired by
AT&T. She has also held senior leadership roles at Qwest,
Verizon Wireless, and GTE Wireless. Jacobs also served six years as
a director for Alaska Communications Systems. She is the co-founder
and past co-chair for Women Corporate Directors (WCD) - Seattle, as
well as a former board director and past president for the National
Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Northwest. Jacobs has
been recognized as a Women of Influence by the Puget Sound Business
Journal and received a national Stevie Award for Women in
Business.
