SINGAPORE--Social media platform Facebook and photo sharing app
Instagram were inaccessible Tuesday, users said.
People who tried to access Facebook, which has some 1.35 billion
monthly active users globally, were greeted with a message that
said: "Account Temporarily Unavailable." The mobile app was also
affected, with users unable to load new posts.
The home page for Facebook-owned Instagram wouldn't load, and
users who opened the app were unable to bring up recently posted
images.
"We're aware that many people are currently having trouble
accessing Facebook and Instagram," a Facebook spokeswoman told The
Wall Street Journal. "We're working to get things back to normal as
quickly as possible."
