Cyclone Power Technologies Receives Second Patent in China; Further Expands IP Portfolio on Its Waste-to-Power Technology

Cyclone Power Technologies (OTCQB: CYPW), developer of the
all-fuel,
clean-tech Cyclone Engine,
announced that it has received notice of patent approval in
China for its
waste energy
recycling engine known as the WHE©. The patent comes at a key
time when Cyclone is actively pursuing its plans to commercialize
this green engine technology through a manufacturing joint venture,
a development agreement with
Ohio State
University and other major teaming and sales agreements.
Cyclone is positioning the WHE to be a dominant product for the
global micro-grid waste-to-power market. Such
waste-to-power systems utilizing the highly scalable WHE can be
palletized and located directly at the site of both waste
generation and shaft power requirements. WHE engines can run off
raw heat sources, meaning that no gas scrubbing is required (as in
internal combustion engines), and diversity of feedstock does not
affect the engine. Potential heat sources for the WHE are vast,
including biomass and waste fuel furnaces, methane flares,
gasifiers, pyrolyzers and even fuel cells. WHE engines can run any
number of devices, including electric generators, water pumps and
compressors.
Christopher Nelson, President of Cyclone and Managing Director
of the company's WHE division, commented: "This patent in China
comes at an excellent time for Cyclone and its shareholders as we
enter production mode for this engine, and seek business
opportunities for this product worldwide. We have received
tremendous demand for our products in China and the rest of Asia,
which has great need for micro-grid power solutions utilizing waste
and renewable fuel sources. There's also a tremendous amount of
investment funding in that region for new technologies that can
increase energy efficiencies and utilize waste products on a
distributed basis. Our WHE is a perfect candidate for these
opportunities."
About Cyclone Power Technologies
Cyclone Power Technologies is the developer
of the award-winning Cyclone Engine -- an all-fuel, clean-tech engine with the power and versatility to run
everything from waste energy electric generators and solar thermal
systems to cars, trucks and locomotives. Invented by company
founder and Chairman Harry Schoell, the patented Cyclone Engine is
an eco-friendly external combustion engine,
ingeniously designed to achieve high thermal efficiencies through a
compact heat-regenerative process, and to run on virtually any fuel
-- including bio-diesels, syngas or solar -- while
minimizing the release of greenhouse gases and irritating
pollutants into the air. The Cyclone Engine was recognized by
Popular Science Magazine as the Invention of the
Year for 2008, and was presented with two Society of
Automotive Engineers' AEI Tech Awards.
Additionally, Cyclone was named Environmental
Business of the Year by the Broward County Environmental
Protection Department. For more information, visit
