Wanderport Corp. (PINKSHEETS: WDRP) is delighted to announce that "in house" testing for the prototyped single cavity microwave energy tank-less water (SCMHU) is now complete. The SCMHU was evaluated and confirms performance improvements were made possible by the new heat exchanger design. In addition, based on what was experienced by the engineering team, Wanderport can now validate the following:
  • The unit demonstrated the capacity to heat water and that it will be able to efficiently and economically reach temperatures greater than regulations allow.
  • The company has every reason to believe that any final product offering, incorporating this technology, will be highly competitive and likely to offer "Best of Class" performance.

"I have been working with Mr. Bruno Zoccali of Design 1st Inc. on the prototype/SCMHU and we've done multiple trial runs, enough to allow me to recommend that we send the unit to the third party laboratory (UL®), so that we can keep pushing this ahead," said Mr. Robert Simoneau, Wanderport Corporation's Technical Advisor and Product Licensor.

Mr. Zoccali firmly stated, "When you have a single cavity prototype unit that incorporates multiple fundamentals, each potentially lethal in their own right, the chosen procedure is to find a balance between satisfying our need to validate functionality with the obligation to act responsibly, while maintaining momentum towards a final product." Mr. Zoccali continued by saying, "As engineering partners, we agree that we need to better understand and implement any and all safety features as necessary and that Wanderport's decision to work with a leading testing lab will go a long way towards making this happen."

Figure (C)-Actual Chart (June 2011): The graph was derived from the latest of many tests using a 2 channel type K-thermometer/temperature data logger downloaded on to a desktop on SE305 version 3.3.0.0. This particular chart shows 2 cycles of operation and is both consistent and indicative of what has transpired while performing in-house tests for the last month or so. Please note that both X and Y numerical values have been deleted, as it is preferred that precise representation on these values is made with the assistance of an accredited third-party lab. A dashed black line was also inserted representing baseline temperature as an alternate path for T1. Deletions of numerical values and dashed line insertion were done via image altering software solely for the purpose of illustration and clarity.

Note that: T1 and T2 are equal for the first division on X plane. This is a period of stabilizing where thermocouples and water reach a steady plane. Half way through the second division, T1 decreases dramatically while T2 increases dramatically. This first event ends approximately mid-way through the third division.

The second event begins roughly at the beginning of the fourth division, ending mid-way through the fourth. These events correlate the activation of the SCMHU with thermocouples for T1 placed at the input of the heat exchanger located opposite the RF shielding bulkhead in the SCMHU and is subject to any stray microwave energy disturbance and therefore, not a true representation of the temperature getting colder but rather is the method by which this delicate and accurate piece of test equipment is representing the microwave energy at ambient. Therefore, the dashed black line is a more important and accurate representation of baseline temperature. It is imperative to note that thermocouples would never be placed in an operational unit but these sensors are required to be placed in these dangerous environments for the purpose of measuring any temperature, as well as to gather feedback and various parameters.

Figure (C) continued: In conclusion, it can be noted that T2, shown in red, is not subject to as much interference as T1 because the sensor is located in an area that is not exposed to microwave energy. T2 represents the temperature of the water leaving the SCMHU and is raised extremely rapidly from the dashed black line (T1). This temperature rise has been consistent throughout various test durations and leaves no doubt about the heating capabilities of the technology and unit and demonstrates the capacity to heat water efficiently and economically while eventually reaching temperatures greater than regulations allow.

"Based on these extraordinary results, I recommended working with UL® as a safety testing lab for reasons that are obvious but also for reasons that are not readily apparent. It is significant to note they are also a certification partner for recognized energy efficiency programs, such as ENERGY STAR® and also a recognized resource for EMC testing, including FCC, CE and Industry Canada. I intend on improving our knowledge base rapidly and in actively promoting the inclusion of all the necessary features that I expect would lead us to a fully approved product for commercialization as rapidly as possible," further stated Mr. Simoneau.
