BURBANK, California,
February 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Pleasant Kids, Inc. (OTCQB: NYBD) (the "Company"), America's
premium supplier of naturally balanced pH-8.0+ spring water for
children, announces the launch of its organic apple juice. The
organic juice line will be released April 1,
2014 in 24 pack, 8 ounce, BPA-free bottles through
Associated Grocers of Florida
which covers distribution in the south-eastern U.S. and
Latin America, through Unified
Wholesale Grocers which covers the western U.S., as well as through
the Company's website.
The Company's entry into the organic juice market was driven by
consumer demand in response to the marketplaces favorable
perception of the Company's initial children's' spring water line.
USDA certified organic requires "agricultural products have been
grown and processed according to specific standards of various
state and private certification organizations." More specifically,
certifying agents review farm applications and qualified inspectors
conduct annual on-site inspections, while farm records must track
all management practices and materials used in organic production.
Pediatric health professionals often recommend apple juice as the
first juice for infants, and it remains the juice of choice for
older infants and toddlers. Pleasant Kids, Inc. is positioned to
benefit immediately from this new juice line, being that 49% of the
apple juice consumed in the U.S. is from China where arsenic and pesticide
concentrations are under regulated. Unlike the apple juices and
concentrates imported from China,
The Company's organic juice line will be heavily regulated and
screened for arsenic and pesticides.
According to Robert Rico,
President, Pleasant Kids, "Our vision is to be the leading provider
of healthy beverage alternatives for children around the world. Our
organic apple juice line is a market driven extension from our
water line which has been very favorably received, proving our
corporate vision is spot on. Our organic juices will serve as
additional spring boards to bring kids the world over healthy and
fun beverages their parents can trust, and that the kids can relate
to, enjoy, and benefit from."
Upcoming events include the Company's participation in the
7-Eleven Central Florida Franchise Owner's Association Tradeshow in
Orlando, FL on 2/27//2014.
Additional information on the Company's programs, including
the cast of Pleasant Kids mascots and a sneak peak of "Growing up
with the Pleasant Kids" TV and DVD series, can be found at
