Belltower Entertainment (OTCBB:BTOW) announces that Giovanni Ribisi (Avatar, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Boiler Room) is set to star as legendary golfer Moe Norman in Dance the Green written by Academy Award winner Barry Morrow (Rainman) and to be directed by Ericson Core (Invincible). Los Angeles-based film production company Belltower Entertainment is financing the picture budgeted at US$10 million.

Story is based on the real life story of Moe Norman who just never fit in. Not in real world, not in the golfing world, not even in his own family. Sportswriters of his day called him the “Clown Prince of Golf,” making hay of his quixotic exploits and goofy personality, while opponents saw him for what he truly was: the finest ball-striker the game has seen. The game of golf was Moe’s sanctuary, and he built the only dream he ever had around an impossible paradox: to be the best in the world…but go unnoticed.

Shooting is to start in late spring. Nina Yang, Claire Kupchak and Barry Morrow are producing, alongside executive producers Robert Hariri and Belltower’s Donald K. Bell. Ribisi is repped at Creative Artists Agency and Management 360.
