CR Crew Energy Inc

Crew Energy Inc. ("Crew") (TSX:CR) and Gentry Resources Ltd. ("Gentry")
(TSX:GNY) are pleased to jointly announce the successful completion of the
acquisition by Crew of all of the outstanding common shares of Gentry pursuant
to the previously announced Plan of Arrangement (the "Arrangement"). 


Pursuant to the Arrangement, the previous holders of common shares of Gentry are
entitled to receive, for each outstanding common share of Gentry held by them,
0.22 of a common share of Crew. After giving effect to the Arrangement, Crew has
approximately 71.2 million common shares outstanding. 


Letters of transmittal have been forwarded to shareholders of Gentry to be
utilized in order to exchange their common shares of Gentry for common shares of
Crew. 


Within two to three business days of the Toronto Stock Exchange (the "TSX")
confirming receipt of all necessary documents in connection with the closing of
the Arrangement, the common shares of Gentry will be delisted from the TSX.
