square foot, two story building features drive-thru banking, ATM,
night-drop depository and safe deposit box services. "We anticipate
the additional space, convenient location, and full complement of
services will help us better serve our clients," said Lansing
Market President, Kurt Hanus. Irwin Union Bank is known for
providing highly personalized service and delivering innovative
solutions that make its client's lives easier. The sleek, modern
design of the Bank's new building also symbolizes how Irwin Union
chooses to do business. As Todd Williams, the building's architect,
explains, "The building was designed to show growth and movement,
which also reflects the Bank's philosophy." The design for the
Lansing building was inspired by the Bank's Creekview facility in
Columbus, Indiana. Williams worked in conjunction with renowned New
York architect Deborah Berke on the Creekview facility. Berke's
credits include interiors for Calvin Klein stores, exterior designs
for Yale School of Art and Theater, and the Cerulean Estate in the
West Indies. The Lansing facility has a similar bold and clean
design to its sister building in Columbus. The team of Berke and
Williams also collaborated on the architecture for the Bank's
Kalamazoo, Michigan branch building. For decades, the Bank has been
working to elevate design and architecture in the communities it
serves. In the construction of the very first Irwin Union Bank, the
floors were made of concrete and kept free of carpet to make all
clients feel comfortable walking into the Bank. Local farmers felt
at ease in these surroundings knowing that if they had dirt on
their boots after a hard days work, it would not damage the Bank's
flooring. These same client- focused design principals are still
used today in many of the Bank's buildings. Since establishing a
reputation for having "the safest safe in town" more than 136 years
ago, Irwin Union Bank has sought to deliver the highest client
satisfaction. Irwin Union Bank is firmly anchored in the
communities it serves, but also has the full resources of a
national financial institution. "We believe our strategy of
delivering highly personalized financial services to consumers,
business owners, and professionals has paved the way for the Bank's
continued growth in Lansing, said Hanus. We feel like we have made
a great investment in the Lansing community and are excited to
welcome clients to our new banking facility." About Irwin Union
