Will redraw today's action for tomorrow at close. We may see a repeat spike upwards leading into the final day. But I still stand with 245 being the average for close in my fairest opinion.

Earnings tomorrow. So it's very difficult to say. We won't run. Likely flat if I'm going to pick 1 of 3 judging by this momentum. We're at the upper band. I expect it to fade down from here while we wait out, but extremely short term, it's too volatile to say.

I'm going short. Monday -- Tuesday will be rough. But if I'm wrong about Wednesday and it's not a bloodbath, I'll walk away from it all and retire.

Learned a long time ago, as it's computer driven, if you don't layer cake the fibonacci retracement, you miss the rhyme and reason behind each tick in movement.

After thoroughly looking at every possible trend, today's movement significantly marks an end to last week's rally. Short term trend lines now form a corridor rather than a wedge on the uptrend and impact Monday's movement. If we have a green close, I will be shocked, but further load up on my short position. Regardless of it's outcome, a day or two of losses in exchange for long term gains, I will likely add to it again regardless of price action.

I'll be frank, I haven't retraced today's movement yet, as after-hours do play a significant role in the open market, contrary to popular belief. The algorithms still work after the closing bell.

Fundamentals of company valuation didn't drive this rally, else it would have rallied after earnings on decent reports and not prior to it. Pricing Trends, those fundamentals drove this. Timing towards earnings, above the annual trend line, this part is market maker driven in my final belief. They allowed it to run before beating it back down to earth. It's in their best interests to let it run even more if Tuesday surprises everyone. Except the influence that it gives to an individual who is very much opposed to institutions... that still can't be weighed out of the equation.

Given the very poor outlook Musk gave for 2024, in prior earnings calls, a beat is beyond comprehensible to me, which is why I have "my hat" on the dinner plate if I'm wrong. September now for "soonest fed rate cut talks." So much for June right? Lol. At this speed it might be October. Rate adjustment matters in consumer spending for very big purchases: houses and cars. So easily Tesla's profitability placates to this.

Regardless even a meager earnings beat at $0.61 EPS, isn't "great." It will have to be a 25% beat if they want to shake the market. And go beyond $300.

That's with noting the broader chip pullback, Biden stepping down, and Musk supporting the anti-institution, anti-EV candidate.

There's a lot of factors at play. Most of them aren't good for the sake of Fundamentals when tech stocks pricing works on Forward P/E value. With Tesla having the history of absurdly high Forward P/E, it's reasonable to still sit at 178 average pps by August 2026.

Based on todays candle shouldnt there be a continuation to support around your 232 support mark Monday? Would Mondays candle give indication as to which direction this might go Tuesday?
Also were you saying the recent move was market maker driven?
It sure as hell wasnt fundamental driven. For Tesla to "beat expectations" Wallstreet had to lower them in May. Pure hype since it was revealed that SpaceX was doing a tender offer. IF SpaceX offer has closed then Tsla should continue downtrending. Ark supports that thought in her continued selling of TSLA stock.

1: We end Monday at 245 area, as mid-range or

2: South of 238, we breakdown again to 231.84 support. or

3: If there is any hope for a continued rally, it's above 249.06

Monday the day before earnings, it is difficult to call, so limits and support lines will be important.

That 237.98 - 61.8% golden zone resistance line in the last picture I posted held solid. Fibonacci retracement is so strong as part of the toolkit. It's not even funny anymore.

So we have hit a breakdown from the breakout. Looking to see if the prior main trend becomes support and resistance or if a newer retracement holds it instead. All trades follow computer algorithm. Just need time to be certain.

Fire at Santa Ana energy storage facility prompts temporary evacuations in industrial area

A fire at a battery energy storage system facility prompted the temporary evacuation of an industrial area in Santa Ana on Wednesday, July 17, authorities said.

Around 7:45 p.m., a fire broke out at the facility in the 1300 block of East Warner Avenue, according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Sean Doran. At least one battery unit was ablaze when authorities arrived, though it was not clear if the fire had spread.
Then again, as lithium batteries are prone to spontaneously combust, more Tesla megapacks means greater chance Tesla battery packs spontaneously combust, further hurting the brand and putting lives at risk. This makes 3 battery storage facility fires in California that im aware of. One in each of its major cities. San Fran area, San Diego, now LA. Not surprising given the proximity to fault lines and thus greater EM radiation. There was a significant battery fire in China if i recall correctly as well. Ring o Fire!

How does EMF cause lithium batteries to experience thermal runaway and thus spontaneously combust? One of two main ways:

#1 - Overcharge/Discharge

With various impressed external magnetic field intensities an effect was noticed on the charge and discharge curves as well as the charge and mass concentrations within the batteries. With the two-dimensional model starting from 0mT and going to 1mT had the effect of discharging the battery faster and charging the battery faster. With the two-dimensional model starting from 1mT and going to -1mT had the effect of charging the battery faster. In either case an effect on the various characteristics of the battery were studied. With the experiments conducted on the two types of batteries the effect was more profound than subtle. Discharge times were twice as fast and charge times were equally
affected. With the smaller batteries they all generally charged faster under the presence of a magnetic field due to more uniform penetration. In the presence of the field they also discharged faster. The larger batteries would not see the same uniform penetration because only a small area of the battery sees the center of the coil it is placed on

In this dissertation, they found that external magnetic fields significantly increased charge and discharge rates in individual lithium battery cells; like shown in the following image. They also found that smaller batteries were impacted to a greater degree than larger ones. This is likely a reason Tesla is switching to larger battery cells in addition to employing magnetic attenuating honeycomb sandwich battery pack.
