HOUSTON, March 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Nobilis Health
Corp. (NYSE American: HLTH) ("Nobilis" or the "Company") has
announced today that Nobilis' Hermann Drive Surgical Hospital
("HDSH") has officially been designated a "Blue Distinction Plus
Center" for performing bariatric surgery by the BlueCross
BlueShield Association. Since inception in 2006, Blue Distinction
has recognized facilities that meet objective, evidence-based
thresholds for clinical quality, developed in collaboration with
expert physicians and medical organizations. In order to achieve
Blue Distinction, facilities must demonstrate quality care,
treatment expertise, and better overall patient results, as well as
providing more affordable care to patients.
Marc Celia, RN, FACHE, Nobilis'
EVP of Operations stated, "It is indeed a great achievement to have
one of Nobilis' hospitals recognized by the Blue Distinction
Program. With thousands of facilities across the country providing
bariatric surgery services, Nobilis' Hermann Drive Surgical
Hospital is now deemed to be among the absolute best in the
country."
Harry Fleming, Nobilis' CEO,
added, "While we are aware internally of the caliber of our
clinical staff at HDSH and other Nobilis facilities, it is
nonetheless an appreciated confirmation of the lengths we go to as
an organization to always put patient care first. From our clinical
staff to our partner physicians, we understand that the quality of
care offered at Nobilis facilities makes all the difference to the
patients who trust us day-in and day-out with the opportunity to
treat their medical needs."
