UK shop price index dropped in April
In the UK, the shop price index dropped 1.30% on a YoY basis in April, compared to a fall of 2.40% in the prior month.
US consumer confidence index climbed in April
In the US, the consumer confidence index advanced to a level of 121.70 in April, compared to a revised reading of 109.00 in the prior month. Market anticipations were for the index to rise to a level of 112.10.
US housing price index rose in February
In the US, the housing price index registered a rise of 0.90% on a MoM basis in February, compared to an advance of 1.00% in the prior month.
US Richmond Fed manufacturing index remained steady in April
In the US, the Richmond Fed manufacturing index remained unchanged at 17.00 in April.
Australian CPI climbed less than expected in 1Q 2021
In Australia, the consumer price index (CPI) climbed 1.10% on a YoY basis in 1Q 2021, compared to a rise of 0.90% in the previous quarter. Market anticipations were for the CPI to climb 1.40%.
