Free Keithley Web-Based Seminar Explores Ultra-Fast I-V Semiconductor Characterization
March 15 2012 - 11:58AM
Business Wire
Keithley Instruments, Inc., a world leader in advanced
electrical test instruments and systems, will broadcast a free,
web-based seminar titled “Tips, Tricks, and Traps in Ultra-Fast I-V
Semiconductor Characterization” on Thursday, March 22. The seminar
will be broadcast twice, at 10:00 EDT (14:00 UTC) and 2:00 PM EDT
(18:00 UTC). To register for this event, visit
www.keithley.com/events/semconfs/webseminars.
This online seminar will help laboratory engineers implement,
troubleshoot, and verify ultra-fast I-V measurement systems,
including pulsed I-V and transient I-V systems. The seminar will
provide insights on getting good measurements, including tips on
system setup, typical measurement limitations, and results from
some actual devices.
Those participating in this seminar will learn how to connect an
ultra-fast I-V system to a probe station properly. Other topics to
be covered include common problems encountered when a system is not
properly cabled, guidance on performance verification at the probe
tips, limitations in ultra-fast I-V testing, including Johnson
noise and other noise sources, and typical examples of ultra-fast
I-V characterization of sample devices.
Test engineers and system designers whose job requires
performing characterization measurements should attend this
seminar. Students, technicians, engineers, and lab managers who are
responsible for installing and maintaining characterization
equipment and probe stations will also benefit from this
seminar.
Katie Wright, the seminar’s presenter, joined Keithley
Instruments, Inc. in 2011 as a product marketing manager for the
Semiconductor Business Group. Her previous experience in Product
Marketing, Applications, and RF Design were with Ultra Electronics,
Bird Technologies, and Agilent. She has a bachelor’s degree in
Electrical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines &
Technology and a master’s degree in Engineering Management from
Florida Institute of Technology.
