COLUMBUS, Ga., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Aflac announced the launch of the 28th installment in the popular commercial series featuring the spirited Aflac duck. The new commercial titled "Hero Duck" is part of the company's ongoing effort to demonstrate that Aflac insurance helps customers worry less about their finances so they can focus on the most important thing - getting better. In "Hero Duck" a woman on crutches yells, "Help, help, I'm hurt and can't work! I need help to pay my rent, car payment and electric bill!" from the window of her high-rise apartment building. Down below on the city street the Aflac duck is waddling along until he hears her cries. The Duck immediately soars into the sky to help the woman and in a flash the Aflac Duck pays her bills. "Help with ordinary bills like rent, electricity and car payments are just some of the reasons that people apply for Aflac insurance policies; they know when they are sick or injured Aflac can help," said Jeff Herbert, Chief Marketing Officer for Aflac. "This commercial demonstrates how Aflac can assist policyholders in meeting their obligations when they are facing additional financial strain from common accidents." "Hero Duck", created by The Kaplan Thaler Group, is scheduled to launch nationwide on January 1, 2007. The spot will run on major networks and cable channels such as ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX as well as a variety of cable networks and sports programming.
